The only decision I have made is on a 9 inch screen.
ICON F90WIR ($659.00). Can anyone recommend a DVD player? I also want to have T.V reception. Should I get a DVD player with built in T.V tuner? Or should they be separate. If so any recommendations. I welcome any ideas. |

Sorry…
What do you expect from a Brooklyn boy who moved to Texas. I just can’t slow down and jumped in without looking.
However, you could still go for that unit and then get a Play Station. That’s what I’m doing plus I’m getting the backup camera. I’ll use the Play Station for games and DVDs. If the included FM modulated sound turns out to be bad, I'll add one of those Blitz Safe things. I haven’t made up my mind yet on the monitor for the rear but am leaning toward getting the headrest modified. I saw something posted a while back about sending the headrests off for a monitor install.
In your case you could just hook up the unit to your monitor, (I assume it has an RCA video input) and get either a Play Station or a DVD player that would go into one of the unit’s 3 inputs. |

Try to get a DVD player that plays mjority if not all of the format. I would suggest to get a separate tuner. this gives you flexibilty to use powered diversity antennas. In my case, I got a Farenheit that acts as a Pre-amp of sort. Also, use a BlitZafe adapter instead of an FM modulator. I haven't installed mine as yet, but Everyone here that did install the Blitzafe found the sound output better than FM modulator. I have the following items installed in my 'X:
- Monitor - Tview T7002 7" WideScreen (width) - $259
- Apex DVD player - $145
- Farenheit 3R TV Tuner - $135
- XO Vision FM60 FM Modulator - $40
- XO Vision Powered Diversity Antennas - $30 ea. (2x)
- XO Vision Wireless Headphone (Single) - $65
- Wires/Noise reducer (Pep Boys) - $25
Grand Total = $729.00
Savings = (?)

| Also, do not rule out a PS2. It allows you to watch movies or play games. It will fit under the seats rather easily. I have one under the passenger's seat hooked up to my Eclipse 7002 indash screen. |
