I live in Brooklyn NY. I am looking for a smooth SUV that will be a joy driving in the crappy and bumpy city streets. Not looking to take it off road ever.
Do you guys think the MDX would feel as if I am driving on air and it would smooth out all the poor city roads.. or would the lexus RX be better at something like that?

| IMHO, I think the Lexus RX might be better for rough roads. Lexus are famous for their cushy rides, the MDX tends to be alittle bit more sporty thus alittle bit harsher ride. Best way to test drive both cars and just look for potholes when you are test driving.:p |

| I own both the RX300 and the MDX, I agree with kishino that the RX would be the vehicle you want for the smoothest ride. The MDX drives firmer but it also handles better. Lexus vehicles are known as couches on wheels but there is a price to pay for that type of ride with respect to handling characteristics. So if a smooth ride is your sole criteria I would go with the RX, but as kishino points out try them both out on the rough Brooklyn roads and make your own decision. |
