Good mornig all. My wife and I heard from our acura dealer a few weeks ago and our mdx should be here end of feb, early march. So excited.

Anyway, I have a question. Since reading the thread regarding inventory in the Chicago area I was wondering what people in the northeast was seeing for prices. It seems that demand is begining to soften and I'm wondering if prices are begining to soften as well. Has anyone seen this in the northeast? I live in CT and if I can find a better deal in the same state or another state then I will cancel my order and drive.

Thanks everyone. I appreciate all your help and this site rocks.

Pac8,

This site is one that promotes free exchange of information relating to the MDX. Why not just post your info for everyone and not require someone to message you for it? It's totally allowed and not considered advertising. On the flip-side, if you were treated badly by a dealership or saleman I would hope you would also post that information for all to see.

Thanks.

crmsnidol,

If anyone is to blame its me. emailed pac8 on the side so if your comment is to be directed at anyone then direct it to me.

I've been waiting since Dec for my sandstone from Executive in N Haven. Paying full MSRP.

I called Millford - they had 2 on the lot they could negotiate, but not what I wanted. To order new it is 1-2 month wait and full MSRP. Told him I heard of people outside of the area getting $500 off, he said they couldn't do it.

My X's birthday is tomorrow and I will be calling Executive business manager later this week to discuss additional features I want (running boards, extra key, first oil change, tank of gass). We'll see what I can squeeze from the stone.

Adam,

Unless you could get a GOOD deal on the running board thru dealer, otherwise purchase and install by yourself will be ALOT cheaper. You should get a FULL tank of gas when you pick up your MDX.

Of the four dealerships we tried in eastern PA, not one would budge from MSRP (in mid December).

Crmsnidol,

Thank you for the information! I am aware that I can post information on this site without being viewed as an advertisement. I didn’t want to post any additional information regarding the dealership YET b/c I am still waiting for my X. I only provided the information regarding the price and discount I got as requested on the initial post. Once I get my X (in 2 weeks), I will provide additional information about my entire experience and perhaps some pixs of my X.

I see you are from Deptford, NJ. I am not too far from you; I am on the other side of BFB. I have checked with the dealers in your area and their offers weren’t competitive. Which dealership did you buy it from?

Best regards,
Pac8

Arzoo/Neighbor!

I am 99.9% sure that I went to the same "four dealerships" you went to. All of them are asking for MSRP, some provided upto $500 of freebies if I was willing to pay MSRP. I thought about it for two days and finally found a dealer that was willing to take $1,000 off.

Good luck with your pick up this weekend!

I initially went to Devan Acura in Norwark, CT but they have a waiting list and they didn't even have one for test drive. So I went to Acura of Bedford Hills, NY and bought mine there at MSRP since they have it available right away.

zhangg3,

Thats where mine is on order from and even though they didnt have one to test drive I was able to drive it elsewhere. The dealer is great and even though there is a wait it worked well with our plans.

I didn't care for ANY of the dealers in my area with the closest (Turnersville) being the worst with a minimum $1500 add-on package. I purchased from Precision Acura of Princeton which is approx 45 miles north of my home and 30 miles north of my work. I dealt with the Sales Manager, Jeff Casole who was up front and easy to work with. I ordered in Oct for a Feb delivery, recv'd 1/20 and paid MSRP for a Navi model.

Pac8,
We tried Reading, West Chester, Montgomeryville, and Sussman. Sussman was willing to throw in BSM, but that was the best deal we could get. In the end, we decided to fly down to NC and buy from Jamie S.

As for our pickup this weekend, our X is ready and waiting, but it will take a miracle for my wife and I to get down to NC for this mini-vacation; Our kids have been sick all week. The neighbors who are watching our kids, kids are sick. I'm sick. Our dog injured her leg and now has the 'dreaded satellite dish' head. And to top it all off, the forecast is for snow all day Saturday!

Arzoo,

I hope you, your dog, and your family will get well soon.

I talked to all four dealers you mentioned above. West Chester wasn’t helpful. Sussman was ok and couldn’t do much on the price. Mont was good, offered $500 of freebies. Finally went with Reading, b/c they were willing to take $1,000 off MSRP.

Did you get any discount from NC (Jamie S)?

My wife and I have thought about flying down to NC to save $1,000 but by the time we kennel the dog, arrange a baby sitter, get to the airport, get to the dealer, etc., we wind up not really saving the $1,000. Prices are going down and the wife and I (I think shes going to kill me b/c I keep changing my mind) are thinking of waiting a little longer to see if we can save the money. I hate the demand for these cars!!!!! :3:

With the economy down, the war looming, terrorist threats alerts, yet 4-weeks to 4-months waiting lists for MDXs ($40,000), Volvo XC90 ($45-50,000), Infiniti fx 35-45 ($40-55,000), and GX ($50-55,000), all at sticker prices? I wonder if that's also the case with Lincolns (Aviator and Navigator) and Cadillac (Escalade?)

Pac8,
Yes, we got a good deal from Jamie ($900 off MSRP plus BSM, cargo mat, and wheel locks). Plus, he has a great reputation here at AcuraMDX.org! :D
