| The 03 DVD unit will not play an MP3 (data) disk. Nor will the in-dash CD or CD changer units. You'll need new hardware to do this. |

| I burn MP3s on CDs and play them on my Bose Stereo no problem. I've played many other people's burned CDs on the stereo and never had a problem. |

Audio CD's (whether made from mp3's or not) will play on the main head unit no problem. If you are talking about the RES DVD player playing burned cd's, it has been reported that it doesn't work.
If you are talking about an aftermarket DVD player that supports MP3 playback from data discs, then the answer is mostly no. I say mostly because most of the units that support mp3 playback only do so on cd-r's, not dvd+-r. |

We all know what home dvd players can do...
The MDX's DVD player, nor any of the other CD players in the X, will play mp3 files.
As mentioned above, you can burn audio cd's from mp3 files, but that is not the same as mp3 native files on a disc.
Nothing in the X knows what an mp3 files is. Only audio cd's and DVD movies/DVD audio
Only the DVD drive for the map can read 'files', but this drive is not connected to the stereo in any way.
