Thanks to the great price and service offered by Tim, I finally got my long awaited Acura chrome sidesteps via the group buy (http://acuramdx.org/forums/showthre...=&threadid=9560), and to my surprise, received it today at my door steps. :20:

2 hours and 72 nuts later ... here are some pictures for you to enjoy! Sorry, the car is a bit dirty since it has been raining here in the Bay Area and more to come. But at least I can see the color of my car, unlike all the TW MDX that have started to appear on the east coast. :D

EDIT: oh and thanks to dbehrens for starting the GB thread .. I've waited for the sidesteps to go on sale for awhile since I missed the first GB, but have only bugged Tim on miscellaneous threads, it wasn't until dbehrens got all of us together and showed Tim the number of people wanting it. :7: to dbehrens and Tim.

Looks awesome. How about one more pic. The "after" pic to match the side view you to before the installation?

and the lovely assistant, Gator Grip, without it none of this install would be possible to finish in 2hrs.

Henry,
Great job on the side steps. You must have put your order in early! I am hoping to have mine installed this weekend. They look sweet!!:D

First time I saw the Acura side-steps really close-up. There is no doubt I would have picked them over Maniks, if chrome/stainless had been available.
I like the mounting, but especially like the big wide steps that have the mounting screws towards the center of the steps instead of at the very ends where they are prone to crack the steps.
Although, I do like the Maniks because they are stainless, and mounted more outboard which makes parallel parkers more careful when exiting their vehicles.
I surmise they think their doors may hit my step, which they can't. But the perception seems to work well.
