| Having gotten my MDX I now have a thule rack that fit my Trooper and now I am struggling to find a way to haul 2 'yaks on top of my "CRLOBX" MDX.. Anyone have any solutions? I have a Navi/Touring package so i have the roof rack but no one makes a carrier to fit it.. Thanks! |

just don't ask the manufacturers!
Thule makes the rack for the MDX. They also make the Acura ski and bike holders (These are the 724 and 599xt, respectively- avaliable at 1/2 to 1/3 what acura charges)
The hardware to mount onto the MDX rack is contained in the Thule part/kit called "VWADAPT".
Go to a decent Thule distributor (NOT REI) and buy one of these kits. Try it in the channel on the top of the MDX cross bars (The "VW" is because Thule makes a VW factory rack). (Detailed instructions on this were posted months ago.)
Once you put these fittings in, you will see how many different racks will fit. Essentially, any accessory that will mount onto a vertical 1/4x20 bolt will work. The Yakima MakoShark and the hullyrollers, plus the Thule Kayak Stacker. The THule 724,725, 726, 599xt. Baskets. Cartop Boxes.
Go wild.
