What to people think about the cargo tray or the cargo liner? I want to protect my MDX, but don't know which one will be more helpful.
Any thoughts would be great.
Thanks. |

It depends on what you plan on doing in your cargo area. If you are going to be hauling a lot of stuff in the back like trips to home depot, equipment, etc. then maybe a cargo liner is for you so that it doesnt scratch up your back. I purchased the cargo liner myself. It's a bit of work to put on and take off but it protects the back area. I hear you can get an inexpensive cargo tray at Costco. Again, it all depends on what you plan on doing in the back of your MDX. |

| I have a tray in my current SUV. It comes in very handy if something topples or leaks and is thicker thus, more durable. Plus it's neater and I was told that the MDX tray scrunches pretty well if you need to use the third row of seats. It also has the cutouts for the cargo hooks in the floor. I believe the liner requires a certain amount of folding, looks wrinkled, etc. Anyway...I'm ordering the tray from Tim this month. He's having a special on Cargo Tray, Rear Splash guards, Wheel Locks for $145. You'll need a cargo cover too. There are pics of all this somewhere in the Photo Gallery I think. |

I saw the liner in a tan interior and the guy was actually asking them to remove it before he picked up the vehicle. It may look alright on a dark interior, but on a light interior it was just plain UGLY! If you got the liner, you would HAVE to get the cover jsut to be able to stand the rear area. :)
I'm getting the tray myself. |

Had a liner in my Jeep and a tray in my Yukon. The tray is better. If you want to protect the back of the middle or from seats when hauling larger items, put an old sheet over the seat backs. We do that all the time when we haul cujo to Petsmart or the groomer because he sheds all the time. Sheets are a lot cheaper than the liner even from Tim and much easier to remove and clean. Just my humble suggestion. |

Here's a copy of the link to Herrington http://www.herringtoncatalog.com/ms227.html Think they've got Acura? Anyway, Tim at http://www.hondacuraworld.com/store/MDX/index.html has them for $102.70 and they have the cutouts for the hooks, etc. He only has them in black. But, IMO you don't want any color other than Black anyway. Also, I had one of those LIPS in my blazer and I'm kind of enjoying NOT having that huge lip in this one. Allows pulling thing in and out without having to clear that lip.
While we're there...check out these personalized (or any) plate frames!! http://www.herringtoncatalog.com/ms122.html VERY NICE!! :D :D
You can get the 24KT Gold one for $139.95 YIKES! Where's Rail??

| We bought the cargo liner because we carry a lot of toys (bikes, camping gear) in the back. Our interior is tan, but we think the black liner looks, well, like a cargo liner should look. You can use the 2nd row seats, including split configuration, with the liner on, which is really handy for seating extra people and not removing the liner. Also, liner seems really tough, didn't absorb water and seems to clean up easily. |
