BlitzSafe vs. Cassette Adaptor for MP3 Player - Click HERE for Original Thread

Hey everybody, I'm a newbie here and this is my first post! I just got my X last week and I'm loving it!

For those that have had a chance to compare the BlitzSafe and the Cassette adapters for your MP3 players, do you have any recommendations? I'm currently using the cassette adapter for my iPod (which I highly recommend) and the sound is pretty good (much better than using an FM transmitter). I'm wondering if the BlitzSafe adapter would be that much of an improvement considering the trouble and expense to take apart my dash and install the BlitzSafe.

Thoughts anyone?

TIA
Ronsully
I can't comment on the cassette adapter. However, installing the Blitzsafe is very easy. Pop off the wood trim (with a coat hanger), disconnect AC controls, unscrew (4 or 6 screws and be careful not to drop them), disconnect Navi and stereo headunit, fish the Blitzsafe unit under the dash to the location you want and plug in, Reassemble everything. One of the easiest DIYs next to upgrading the shift knob ;)

Do a search on Blitzsafe and you'll find this has been discussed in many different threads. The unanimous vote is for the Blitzsafe device.

I asked this before but never really got a definitive answer. If I get the MDX Premium and install a CD Changer, would I still be able to use the Blitzsafe adapter for, say, a Portable DVD player in conjunction with the CD Changer? Any feedback would be appreciated.

I just did some quick research, and found that if you purchase the "d" version, you have the option of using both the changer and the aux in. However, this is 129 vs 69 for oinly the Aux in. So I suppose if you wanted to, you could connect your portable DVD through the AUX in. Unless you have the RES, apparently.
