For those who have Side Steps installed on your MDX, have you noticed any noise from water splashing up and hitting the Steps? If you do, is it loud enough to cause a distraction or is it just a minor annoyance? Please let me know your feelings about this.

The side step noise has been recognized by many, but it has not seemed a big distraction. I certainly don't have a problem with the noise when splashing through water. It usually is only for a brief moment then it is gone. If you have the stereo up, you probably won't even notice it. It will just be a background noise.
I enjoy the styling they bring to my MDX and it helps my children climb into it.

It's gotta be better than the sound of salt, gravel and mud hitting your door panels!
MarkC, do you think you get much protection from the side steps? I've got a half mile dirt road that's in spring breakup, thinking side steps might do some good.
Also, my 4 year old won't need climbing gear to get in the back seat anymore... |
