If you have someone else install your HID kit, you will be wasting money because the kit from Xenondepot is idiot proof trust me. I am not mechanically inclined an it took me 45 minutes but most of that time was just figuring out where to put the ballasts. The actual hook up of wires and tying down the loose wires took 5 minutes. You can save a lot of time now with all the new posts of DIY and where to put the ballast from me and other MDX forum folks, just do a search. |

I agree. Most places will charge you approx $150+ to install the kit...

Why the heaven is that ?? :mad: Maybe just the front lighting electrical system would be voided, but you don't even alter anything there.... I mean every sub-circuit is separated and protected by fuses. Will adding an aftermarket security system void it too? What about those that add RES themselves? Their whole electrical warranty is considered void?
Is the initial 20A drawn going to hurt the alternator and/or battery? |

I just order the 9006 5000k HID kit as part of the group buy. I believe that the 9006 are the correct ones for the MDX, can you please confirm? I understand that it is not too late, correct? I paid through Paypal so you should have the $$ shortly. I hope that the 5000k kits are still available?
Approximately how long does the delivery take? I was hoping to have them installed before our family vacation over the Labor Day weekend.

My xenondepot 4300K kit is working fine so far. Never had a problem. I do carry around my stock bulbs in the back storage compartment so I can pop them in and switch the wire harness plug if I have a problem while I'm out somewhere. Just a little insurance that so far I've never needed.
I would buy them again in a heartbeat. I love the output and the color! :cool: |

I got an email yesterday from www.streetstyler.com for hid's at $329.95 and till 8/31/05 an extra $29.95 off if you enter "HIDAUG" as the discount code in the Discount Certificate Field.
Do I have 9006 on my '05? I'd like to get 4300K to make it look OEM. I believe this is what is on my '04 TL from the factory.
I don't know anything about brands and whether this is a reputable brand name or not in comparison to the one described here in the group buy. Will the price for the group buy compete with this? |

My kits are $299.99 and covered by warranty. Quite a few members have my kits and nobody has complained and I'm not going anywhere. Check it out www.blinglights.com
I've had the same kit for at least 2 years and never had any issues. People in the NJ/NY area are welcome to check it out, test it, take additional photos. All color temperatures and sizes in stock over 2000 feedback for the kits on ebay alone! |

A couple of things. They have been selling kits for over 2 years thru this site. Also, their kits have genuine Philips(hella) basllasts. They also include a wire harness with relays and inline fuse. I have seen mentioned on more than one occasion that the bulbs are hit and miss on being Philips or not. But do your own research. hidplanet.com is an excellent resource. With kits, you get what you pay for. Good luck.
As an aside, do a google on visionbulbs and hid. From what I can tell, they have been selling kits for weeks, not years. |

thanks phins....i've done quite a bit of research on them (see my last post in that thread - i can't even locate a physical address. There's a calif tel # listed on their web site; i can find no registration for them under their name w/ the calif. sec'y of state either).

Do a search on xenondepot and install on here. They are just as easy to install as any other kit (it has a direct connect to the battery). The hardest part is locating a place to secure the ballast. |

I think most with with Xenondepot kit have the ballast install near the fog light.
The 2 Xenondepot kit on my X has been running for over 2 years now. No problem whatever. The 9006 kit is actually much older (probably over 3 years old because it was purchased used from another member) |

I've seen visionbulbs posts on other sites that date back to 2004, and actually with some good feedback (and bad...). Their HID business may be newer than that, but at least their company name has been around for a while. |
