Hi All,
I'm trying to figure out what audio/sound system is in the '03 MDX base model. I've heard that it's a Premium Alpine System with Alpine speakers. Can someone confirm this?
Also, how does the base system compare to the Bose system that is available in the Touring Package.

If you care much about sound, you will almost certainly get the most bang for your buck by doing your own upgrading. The Premium system would have to be pretty pitiful for the Bose system to represent an upgrade.
There may be other reasons to get the Touring Package - memory seats, power passenger seats, etc. - but it is not worth spending a penny on the Bose audio system in the Touring Package.
There is a TON of information on this site about upgrading the audio (and video) system in the X. Use the Search function and have fun...:)
