| Does anyone know if driver side WeatherTech mats give coverage for the left footrest area? I note that the factory all-weather and regular mats do not, hence, that area is going to wear and get dirty with time. Is there a mat made that covers the full area? |

Yes. The Weathertech mats provide more coverage for the 'dead pedal' area on the drivers side.
You'll find some good OEM vs. WT comparison pics (courtesy of vip9) starting with this post. |

norcalchuck,
That's an affirmative. The Weathertech mats definitely do provide more coverage than the OEM mats.:4: |

| Affirmative too -- the FR mats have much more coverage. The rears are two-piece mats which do a more than adequate job of coverage. Also, you may want to check out http://www.weathertech.com. They can also sell you the mat directly -- they're within a buck difference than hondacuraworld.com if you go for the non-tan color. See for yourself though. |

I checked out photos in other threads and see how it does cover the left foot rest area. However, it also seems that the mat is basically laying over the "hump" and not flat on the floor just to the right of it. Does that in any way hang up or get in the way? I presume those using the all weather mats are putting the factory supplied carpet mats back in when the foul weather goes? I have used the Weathertech mats in an old Mercedes for years and they are great. I throw them in when winter comes and take them out in the spring. |

You're right that it's certainly not a 'custom fit' but, I don't find that it gets in the way at all. I haven't decided if I'm going to put the OEM carpet mats back in or not... I've only had the X since January and I'm not ready to assume that the foul weather is finished here in the Chicago area (I saw some folks running the gas out of their snowblowers this weekend and thought.... uh oh... that's practically a guarantee that we'll get one of those early spring snowstorms! ) |

norcalchuck,
The Weathertech mats are flexible enough to provide better coverage and conform to the contours of the driver's side floor area. Just thought you might like to know:4: |

I think I will go for the WeatherTech even though I bought the factory all weather mats. I think the factory mats are ok for the second row however. I've really liked the WeatherTech in my other car. Does anyone make a carpet type mat (like the factory floormats) that also offer coverage over the left footrest area? As for the WeatherTech price, I know there has been some discussion, but what is considered the best deal right now and from whom? Thanks. |

I bought my Weathertech mats from http://www.weathertech.com/store/pr...item_group_id=3 Please consider buying the rear mats as well as the front mats. I like the way the rear mats interlock to form one continuous piece. Good luck.:29: |

Chuck,
Check out the WT Advantage mats. They are identical to the Premiums(?) but have a layer of carpeting over them. I really like them in that I can leave them in all year long. They contain the slush, etc. but have the nice look of carpeting. I beleieve the fit is identical to the Premiums(?). Good luck. |
