Many of you have posted pics of your X with speaker and amp mods but I have only seen one pic of a head unit upgrade. I am looking for ideas and would like to see pics of others installs of just the head units. Any assistance with this would be great. Also, if someone can give some information on where to buy a faceplate that matches the wood grain to mount an aftermarket head unit in I would appreciate it. I have only seen a pic of one of these but I can not find a dealer that carries them. Attached is the pic.

| if someone fabricated the mount for the radio they did an excellent job on it. If it is an aftermarket piece I just want to know where to get one. The Acura dealer has no idea |

| That's a custom made piece...it's a piece of ABS cut to fit the opening, and then it's sent out to a company that laminates it with factory wood |

You might try www.exoticwooddash.com or their # 1-800-354-4449.
They have some process were they can coat a piece that you send in with the coating of your choice. Don't know the specifics and I assume it may cost some $$$. Hope this helps. I ordered a burlwood shift knob from them and the match is perfect. |
