I need to put sidesteps and would like to know, pros and cons of both Maniks and Acura Running board and sidesteps.
Main points, that i am considering
1. Ease of installation
2. looks
3. Usefulness in get in and out
4. protection against Dings. etc.
5. Cost.
Are Stainless steels better than regular. |

| Unless you park beside an MR2 don't expect much protection from dings. Sorry |

| I have the OEM side steps (black) and love them. They were pretty easy to install and they look great. You might try a search to see what other threads you can find on this exact same topic. |

| Love the Manik's . I think Acura's powder coated version matches the rims better , can't go wrong either way . :29: |

I love the stainless Maniks, a real attention getter. That could be bad I suppose. But if they had the chrome Acura steps at the time I considered the Maniks, I probably would have preferreed them. They mount more solid, and asthetically blend in with the overall design better.
I think the Maniks are a greater 'detterence' to dings, if not all out protection. You can read more on the other thread same subject. |
