Hi. I am trying to get a picture of a Deep Mahogany Pearl MDX with the black OEM side steps installed. I would prefer them over the running boards since I think they are stronger (in case of a later impact) and look sportier. Anyone has a picture that can post of PM me. I would love to see also a picture of the running boards as well to compare which one looks better with my MDX.

| Have you considered chrome side steps. IMHO they would look great with Mahogany. The black steps look better with lighter colors but the chrome look fantastic with the darker MDX's. |

Thanks!
Let me see if someone post the picture of the black ones and the running boards so that my wife can see the three different options. (She's the owner of the MDX)

| As I recall the overwhelming majority of owners in the early days preferred the Chrome steps and ordered Maniks since Acura had none. A few of us had the OEM steps powdercoated one of which you have seen the photos. As a Search will conform I am unaware of any member with a Mahogany and black OEM steps. There are photos of other colors w/ black steps and photos of Mahogany with Chrome - perhaps its time for a little PhotoShop work;) |

Thanks to all. I did got pictures of the mahogany with the black side steps from a fellow member; I might finally opt for the new chrome ones recently released by Acura. Any ideas where to get them cheap?
Thanks,

Saw a Mahogany MDX today with black steps, Cal. plates with "Stanford" license frames.. Although I think the chrome steps would look better the black ones did look good.
What did not look good on this Mahogany MDX IMHO was the gold emblems. What's the word for this mdxxxx, is it bling?
Also the saddle interior looked out of place with the exterior color. |
