I need a help getting the 12 volt for my Escort radar detector.
I want to place it permanent somewhere by the rear view mirror.
Where is the best place I can get 12 volt when the engine in running mode only.

| Do a search and you'll find great info. Most folks tap into the fuse panel on the drivers side and run the wire behind the A pillar. I think the fuse is the one for the rear wiper. Good luck! |

Better yet, remove the overhead light (2 screws behind the lens) and tap into the wire that supplies +12v and ground to the mirror. This is switched by ignition, perfect for a radar detector. Also, there's plenty of room in the mirror cavity for a power supply is you have a Solo or other battery powered detector.
Did this to mine, 5 min job.

The lens snaps out by prying on the aft edge. See page 300 in your owners manual (2002).
