Hi,
I've been a lurker here for a few months while we were making up our minds about which new vehicle to purchase. By browsing this forum, we found lots of helpful tips and information about the MDX. Thank you! We took delivery of our 2003 Sandstone Metallic MDX Touring w/Navigation about a week ago. Fortunately, the model that we wanted was enroute to the dealer when we went to purchase, so we only had to wait a couple of days until it arrived. This is our first SUV, and so far we absolutely love our new MDX! :D |

BaldEagle, First impressions after driving for only a week and a half...smooth, quiet, comfortable ride...easy to handle...fun to drive...nice to sit up high and see the world while going down the road...Navi is really neat...plenty of power, but, I'm going to have to get used to that little red needle on the fuel gauge going down so quickly! The MDX seems really BIG compared to my old Honda Accord wagon even though it's only about an inch longer, but taller and a little wider, of course. As for the accessories, we don't have anything else yet other than what I first posted...might get the burlwood shift knob and perhaps a cargo tray or mat of some type for the cargo area. However, if I continue to view the photos here and read the posts about accessories, then I may well find that I will "need" more goodies to make my MDX more perfect than it already is! |

Gas isn't the only thing you'll be spending your money on. All the accessories really add up. Definately get a cargo tray. Mine has come in very handy already as I like to throw stuff in the back w/o worry. And get those wheel locks too!
And welcome aboard! |

MYTXMDX, gas mileage is all relative.
For me the MDX, with the exception of a VW Bug I owned in the 60's, gets better gas mileage than any other vehicle I have owned.
It also sets the standard for other vehicles in it's class. Although it may not be as good as many modern sedans it does very well for what it is. |
