Is there a way I can find out where an E-mail address originated? Please let me know. No, I'm not stalking anyone. I just need to find out if someone is telling the truth where he is from by tracking his email address. I know a lot of members here knows. See below of portion of his e-mail address.
Thanks in advance

You can look in the headers of the email message. The info you see in the GUI of the mail client you use can be fooled and is quite often (spam) but headers can not (or at least it alot harder). The headers will contain the entire system path it followed and will include who sent the message.
The domain name you listed is good and I am guess you used the special characters to hide the user name.
If you need help getting more info on this let me know and I can help you out. |

I knew you guys would be able to help. Thanks, the guy seems to be legit. He did say he was from MO. He also added his phone # afterwards and I verifed it. According to the person who answered (not him 'tho), he is in class teaching. so it seems like he is a teacher from that school. With these Nigerian/Canadian/South American (no offense guys) fraud happening, e-commerce is starting to get scary. Feel bad for some of these guys sending money via Western Union and other wire transfer companies and get duped.
Damn this site is an awesome resource!!!
Thanks again for the quick help guys!!! |
