| The Vancouver Province reported April 4th that a truck driver made the grisly discovery of a body inside a 2002 Acura MDX when he spotted the damaged vehicle in the woods near the intersection of Gaglardi Way and Curtis Street in Burnaby early yesterday. The name of the victim has not been released. |

BURNABY -- The victim of a bizarre fatal accident Wednesday night on Burnaby Mountain was a 16-year-old who had just received his driver's licence, police say. Harold Sanghyun Lee, a Coquitlam resident, got his licence on Feb. 8. He was driving a 2002 grey Acura MDX down Gaglardi Way from Simon Fraser University when he apparently lost control and flew over a cliff, landing about 100 metres from the roadway, RCMP Constable Phil Reid said. The SUV wasn't found until Thursday morning when a truck driver noticed a vehicle battery by the side of the road and spotted the SUV over the cliff when he went to pick it up. He found the driver dead behind the wheel. |
