I used Z1, Z2 and Z6 last year with excellent results. Love the product, although it does take some work. I tried to stay away from porous plastic surfaces like the lower grille work. I'd just assume cover the vehicle this spring. I was planning on trying ZFX.

Has anyone used Zaino on this front, lower grille area? Any problems?

What do you think of ZFX? How significantly does it reduce cure time? Was it worth the added expense?

i'll start . .. if it is the textured black plastic - dont do it . . .
there is a chance you will get the white markings that can happen. of coursem they can be removed, but not worth it if you can avoid it.

protecting the black porous looking plastic is easy -
try some 303 protectant -

great reviews everywhere . ..

Homer2,

You do all plastics and the chrome trim (wax always gets there)? How od you prevent getting zaino in the black strips on the roof that hold the roof rack?

I just bought a small package of 303 and it worked great on the tires, not too much shine, lasts fairly long for a water based product. I will try it on the plastic trim as soon as it warms up in East Lansing.

I had no problem with Zaino around the windows or roof rack, just tried not to apply to plastic trim.

yes, i would zain all chrome and every painted surface . .
i cant recall what the roofracks are like on the MDX - possible they arent textured at all ?

if not, zaino them . . ..

I've Zaino'd everything, including windows (outside only) and head and tail lights. No problem. Wit, yep, 303 works great on tires, as does Zaino tire stuff......I can't tell the difference. Both impart satin finish. Just bought gallon of 303.....less expensive than Zaino.

how do you get the white markings on the plastic parts, like the grill area off from the wax?
Homer2
wax? or zaino type stuff.

put some peanut butter on it, let it sit and then wipe off . . .

Yup, peanut butter really will do the trick. Smooth, not chunky!
