So i was thinking earlier to get rid of my X for a sports car, but now i jus dun know what i am thinking anymore, seems like there are so many choices, but so little $$.....
Anyhow i was thinking as most you might be able to help me out here, how much difference is the 2001 MDX compared to the 2003 ones? will it be worth it to trade in the one i have now with only 9000 miles and get a 2003 with nav and all the new goodies?

Just read your posts, based on all I've read, there is a major difference between 01 and 03...03 has more power, new smoother transmission, quieter, VSA, voice NAV, etc.,, I wouldn't trade up from an 02 but I would from an 01....
then again if you want a sports car, and you don't really, really need an SUV, check out the Nissan 350Z....awesome two seater! |

With an '01 MDX being so young, it would be a big waste if you traded up! The '03 is better, but not THAT much better! 2003 is not a total redesign...if anything wait till the NEXT generation of MDX.
Or if you're itching to get something, then consider other brands...like FX35, GX470, Murano, Wrangler Rubicon (my favorite), XC90, etc..... |

Notice that tigmd99 doesn't own an X, and if you read his posts, you'll find he usually takes the opposite view of the members on this forum who do own one......on one hand he tells you not to trade your 01, in the next breath he tells you to consider other cars....read the reviews, especially the one in Forbes.com, you'll know the truth about the 03 X...... |

Hey thankyou guys for all info.
Well what i plan to do is to go down to a acura dealer and see what price they are able to get for me on the my X right now. With the 2003 MDX i think the hp increase plus the nav woould be well worth it. Moreover, i think i want gray interior.. instead of bage..
I remeber someone posting that they got a tradein with their X for 31k, i hope to get around the same or maybe even more, cuz i only have 8000 miles!.... haha. newaz will keep people update when i get my trade in quote to ask for advice.

What trim level do you have? The dealer is going to slaughter you on the trade. Do a private sale - you'll get more and with so much deman for the mdx and few used ones out there, its the way to go. |
