We have two Acura's.... '03 MDX Touring NAV (Sandstone) and '00 3.2 TL (Laguna Green). Living down here in Tampa, Florida with sun beating down all day on these vehicles, all year long (both garaged when home) puts quite a brutal demand on the WAX used to protect our investments. In the late 80's 'till about three years ago I was strictly a ZYMOL user. Then I switched to MEGUIARS "Pro" Line and it worked very well, but I'm looking for "The BEST of the BEST" with PROTECTION from UV and "heat" my NUMBER 1 priority. I do NOT need a "polish" as the paint on the MDX is brand new and the TL is still near showroom perfect, just a good WAX !! I have read nearly ALL the forum responses and see that ZAINO is very well liked, but I also see that many people like KLASSE.
SO......... Please HELP !! What is "The BEST of the BEST" ????
Thanks !! |

First of all, Zaino is not a wax. It is a polish with very low abrasive properties (if you rub anything against a finish, it's abrasive to some extent) but mostly a polymer compound protectant.
You keep adding coats to provide more layers of protection, with the added benefit of incrementally improving the shine. That's what separates it from a wax, which will 'build up' and actually dull the shine at some point.
Several coats of Zaino seems to afford 6+ months of great protection from UV as well as water, and dirt and dust. Naturally, washing it regularly with a non-stripping car wash detergent will also help maintain the lustre. As will in-between touch ups with Z6 gloss enhancer.
Read the various topics under Zaino on this forum. More than one test has put Zaino on top. But the differences against using Klasse regularly, are not that great with respect to the shine. But the protection of Zaino seems hard to beat. |

I was persuaded to use Klasse rather than Zaino by a comparison test referenced in these forums:
http://www.deckowski.com/wax%20off/results.htm
Both Klasse and Zaino were at the top of five polishes and waxes for gloss, durablity, depth of color, and other factors.
One picture at the end of the comparison article showed a vehicle that was polished on one side with Zaino, and on the other side by Malms wax
http://www.deckowski.com/wax%20off/durability.htm
The vehicle was driven on a very dusty highway drive. At the end, one side was covered with dust and the other was almost dust free. There was a distinct line between the two areas. Surprisingly, the Zaino side was the one that collected all the dust!.
The Bose stereo system even sounds better after three coats of Klasse All in One, and one coat of Klasse Sealant. Especially on a sunny Spring day: |

its funny how sensitive these tests can be . .
gurureports stated that they were very similar in application - but zaino was easier to remove . . ..
they both finished well after 46 products were tested . . and you wont regret using either product. |
