In my 03 X (touring), the headlight beam is abnormally low - it just illuminates upto 50-60 feet ahead - I have to constantly switch to high beam when I am on the freeway, but that is inconvenient to oncoming traffic.

How can I adjust the angle of the regular beam JUST A LITTLE upwards?

Thanks.

Check your manual, it tells you how to adjust the headlights. There is a hole near the light where yuo can insert a screwdriver to adjust the headlights.

The owners manual doesn't give ANY information on how to adjust the headlights - its says it should only be done by an "Acura technician". I could not locate the hole near the headlight.

Can you please let me know how to adust it?

MDX350,

i just asked this question yesterday and received an answer. i cannot find the link however.

there is a hole above each headlight that has a semicircle (like a smile)with a "D" on the left and a "U" on the right, below the hole.

you insert a phillips head screwdriver at an angle to engage a metal ring with teeth on its side. by turning the screwdriver in the direction of the D or U you can adjust the headlights down or up.

although i have tried to do this the headlights do not seem to want to move.

let me know how you make out.

regards,

chris

cmdpm,

I was able to figure out how to adjust the headlight. If you haven't done it yet, here are the instructions... Otherwise, just disregard.
