Dr. Atkins is Dead
It is a sad day for me and many others.
Many in our country suffer from heart disease, diabetes and obesity. We got this way by listening to our government tell us that Carbohydrates are good and fat is bad.
Dr. A told them they are wrong. Just recently, research has proven what he has been saying for 30 years.
I lost weight and avoided diabetes by listening to Dr. Atkins. I'm sure many of you have too.
RIP Dr. Atkins.

For me...it was the best diet my wife ever tried. I got to eat all the meat and taters I wanted.:D
Sad about Dr Atkins though:(

| Ditto, I've been on Atkins for alomost 3 years, lost 24 lbs and have never felt better. The lab results from my physicals have been excellent too. |

Yup, me too. I started Atkins 2 months ago and so far I have lost 26 lbs. In the last two months, I have eaten more steak, roast beef, cauliflower and bacon than during the rest of my life!
In addition to the weight loss, I have far more energy and both my cholesterol and blood sugar levels are better than ever.

| It would be interesting if they did an autopsy and released the results letting us know if he had any coronary disease. The results would either add fuel to the fire or quelch the critics.:4: |

| I went on it last year and lost 31 lbs in about 12 weeks. Gained 20 back but considering doing it again. You have to respect people like Dr. Atkins who took a chance and published something contrary to his peers and succeeded. |
