Have any of you used the cordless power tools from chicago electric power tools that you can get from Harbor Freight Company.
They are inexpensive when compared to Dewalt. I know you usually get what you pay for, but I am an ocassional handy man and would like to get a 5 piece set for a good price.

I bought the 18 volt cordless screwdriver (too slow for a drill) about 2 years ago and so far it has worked well. For $40 I figured "what the hell". The battery takes a little longer to charge than my Ryobi (3 hrs vs 1 hr) and the color isn't too attractive but I would buy another one again. I hope this helps.
I also have a grinder and biscuit joiner (both corded) from them as well. If you only use these things occasionally, I think they are pretty decent. Can't say what the reliability would be over the long haul.:D |
