Rumble Ladder
I am a member of a Ghost Recon clan named SlN. We are currently ranked 2nd on the Rumble. My clan tag is SlN Mirage. SlN used to have a dedicated server connected to an OC3 line, but that guy quit his IT job so we don't have it anymore.
I have been playing on-line shoot'em up's since '97 and I must say that I am an addict. I have tried everything from fast paced games such as quake, unreal, jedi knight, and alien versus predator. To more tactics based games such as battlefield 1942, america's army, counter strike(half-life), medal of honor, and tribes. To me these games are all the same. Most utilize some sort of the quake 2 or 3 engine and just mask the environment with different themes like WWII & space. My real beef with them are the respawns and their targeting reticules that never move, thus resulting in gameplay that is boring because it's almost too easy to hit targets. For my money, I go for the super realistic combat simulations such as the Tom Clancy lines of games made by Red Storm Entertainment. They require the most patience and skill, offer the most realistic game play (which will not be appealing to some) and arguably the best graphics of any game I have ever played. Don't get me wrong, Unreal 2003 is gorgeous!
If you guys are interested in on-line action games but don't want to blow $50+ I suggest you down load America's Army, it's a great squad based game that our government developed and released to the public for free. Make sure that you install all the proper up to date patches or else you will not be able to play. America's Army
These games are a great way to relieve stress, plus you get to meet some really interesting people all over the world. Something amusing about shooting at people half-way across the world.:4:
But if killing isn't your thang, try SimCity4. It's fun as hell!:2:

another new on-line game thats great is Black Hawk Down http://www.novalogic.com :29: , I still play Battle Field 1942 http://www.eagames.com/official/bat...home.jsp?ncc=1, ans have been in various clans, on-line gaming is really a blast and when you use voice com, its even better...........maybe some of the MDX members would be interested in starting a clan ?....its a great way to make make new freinds. :) |
