| How do you get rid the green moss that builds up on the lawn? It really got bad over the winter. |

I think that most likely you need to reduce the acidity and moisture. Acidity is addressed with lime and high moisture is usually due to lack of sunlight to dry out the area.
Thoughts? |

| There is a product called "Moss Out" in your local lawn care or other store. It is a concentrate (by Ortho or some other major brand name) where you mix w/ water and pour on the moss. It kills it within a few minutes time. I use every year---works great. |

| Sounds like a question for xcel. He has a landscape business and is the lawn care expert on this site. He has been real active here but I have not seen many posts by him recently. Perhaps you might try a PM. |

| I referred to Moss Out in my earlier post. It is called "Moss Out for Lawns" and is put out by Lilly Miller. The active ingedient is "ferric sulfite". Growing a lawn where no moss can grow is a question for the professionals in lawn care as some folks have already mentioned. Otherwise, the above product handles the small amount of moss w/ great results. |

Thanks for the quick replies!
I've gone the lime route but unfortunately it didn't help much. I'll take your advice and give Moss Out a try. I have a wooded property which seems to be perfect for growing moss. |
