Hello,
For those of you that dont know us yet, we've decided to become a supporting vendor here on Acura MDX for the next little while! I'm assuming that most of you have already seen our banner (its kind of hard to miss.....)
We have revamped our kit for Spring 2003 based on feedback we have obtained from our customers. Here's whats new:
1) PROTECTIVE BALLAST ENCLOSURES - These will help protect the Philips ballasts against water damage:

2)We have added a full line of mating connectors to our wiring harness (Previously it was just on the 9006):

3)We have introcued our new HIGH/LOW HID conversion kit for vehicles requiring an H4 converion kit (The MDX uses a 9006 bulb so this really doesnt apply to the MDX)

3) Single wiring harness designed with protective water-resistant wire insulation. We have decided to go with a single harness design simply because it is easier to install and makes for a neater installation.
3) Once again, as before, XenonDepot only uses Philips components to ensure the quality and durability of our product. Please feel free to perfrom a search on this forum and on the net in general to see the positive feedback that our company has!!!
4) We have updated our website!!!

Newbie here!!
I see that the High-Low beam set up did not apply to the MDX, so that means I would need two (2) sets of HID kits to cover high and low beams??? Also, I have a Canadian model, so I have DLR, will this be a problem?
Thanks. |

Hello,
In regards to high/low beam, that is correct. You would need to get two separate kits for the high/low beam.
In regards to the DRL, are the DRL lights run off the same bulbs as the high beam or the low beam on the MDX?

| The DRL run the High beams at low wattage. I wonder what a low wattage would do in the case of HIDs... |

Thanks for your response.
If the DRL run off the high beam builbs then you have nothing to worry about when installing an HID kit for your low beams. However, if you decide that you want to replace your high beam bulbs as well the low wattage will harm the ballasts (eventually causing them to blow out). There are solutions to this issue however if you definitely want HID for both the low/high beam.

Are these after-market Xenon lights street legal in the US?
Has anyone been stopped by Police if they are not? |

Technically, not legal for ON road use. So far, no one we know on this forum anyway, has been stopped. |
