I'm not sure if I'm the only one, but I'm getting really disapointed with a lot of X owners. I just moved here to Northern Cali and have been here for about three weeks. In this time, I have seen roughly 20 Xs in the area as I travel around. Can I just say that not "1" of these X owners even waved or acknowledged me.
I don't expect for every one of the X owners that I pass to go out of their way to say hi, but reading these boards, it looks like the majority of X owners.. who are on this board... would say hi.
So, if you live in my area don't be surprised to see a nighthawk black X with Texas tags flashing some high beams at ya. All I ask is that you do the same.
Don't know what to do about the nonboard members.

If you drive a CJ/Wrangler probably 90% of other Jeep drivers will WAVE at you.
Not like that with Honda/Acura.
I doubt even the Element will have that sort of random owner camaraderie. |

Do you have any Acuramdx.org sticker or licence plate frame on you vehicle?
I think if another member noticed that on your vehicle you would get a wave and possibly ask you to pull over for an conversation.
The MDX is not as rare as it used to be, I saw 4 sitting on my dealers lot last week and they had some more behind the dealership. I was at a intersection one day and their were 2 others MDX's at the intersection.
A lot of owners are not aware this site exist, my salesmen didn't even know about it. I took my X in for my first oil change and every salesmen came out to look at it. I had the Maniks's, Form Fit Deflector, and Weather Tek cargo liner and mats installed to match my interior and they were impressed. I forgot to mention I just applied another coat of Zaino.
To some people it's just another vehicle. Here in the DC/MD/Northern VA area the X is popular.
So don't get to mad if another owner doesn't aknowlege you.

Sadly, my experience in northern California has been similar. Having waited until 2003 to get my MDX, I looked forward to feedback to my waves from some of the owners of MDXs I've seen locally but it isn't happening I attribute the lack of acknowledgement to the fact that in the third model year the MDX doesn't create quite the excitement in these folks who've had their cars for a while. I've come too late to the party, I guess.
I have ordered an "MDX.org" sticker but it's slated for the back window so will probably not generate many waves - maybe honks. I don't like using decorative license plate frames ("org" or otherwise) as they hide the artwork on my environmental plates. |

My son just got stationed to the Naval Language Training Center in Monterey. Look in my gallery, I posted a pic of my X on the 17 mile drive. Next time I go over to visit him I'll look out for your TW X :29: |

I'm a waver AND a flasher (headlights, that is). I've passed out probably two dozen "orged" business cards (original design) in the past year; they're more fun to pass hand-to-hand than they are to simply slip under a wiper blade.
I'm afraid that, despite this site, most MDX owners view their machine as "just a car". I've never had "just a car"; even my first, a rusted-out '40 Chrysler, was MY car! I guess you're a Car Guy (or Car Gal), or you're not. |

I guess I have to become proactive and get some x.org stickers or cards to educate the poor X owners who haven't got a clue of what they are really driving.

Same story here in SoCal. I don't flash my lights, but I usually wave...haven't gotten one return wave yet.
Strangely, it is different when I'm driving my wife's Mazda Miata - especially with the top down. I get all kinds of waves and light flashes from the other Miata drivers... |
