Hi . . . New owner reporting in. There's a strange rattle coming from the driver's side. . . . I can't isolate it. Anyone know what this might be before I take it to the dealership? Moving the driver's seat to a new position once cured it . . for a bit. Now it's back full blast. Dunno if it's coming from the dash, the windshield, the seat? Not the door seal. Opened the door while driving . . .still there. Anyone have any ideas . . or experience with this. Thanks in advance! Peter

There have been prior post on noise from the seat and others. Do a search and see what best describes what you are hearing.

Many rattles turn out to be seat belt buckles making contact with the side of the car near where they hang, or sun glasses vibrating in an overhead storage bin. Make a quick check of these before looking for tougher reasons. I have had both of these things make rattles in my 02 Maxima. You go crazy until you find them and then feel silly when you do.

Thanks Fendesj - I appreciate the advice. . . and I will DEFINATELY check out all aspects of the seat belt when I next drive the truck. That's the one thing I neglected to play around with. I hope you're on target here. Peter

Another item which fit's "driver's side of dash": the key fob sometimes bangs against the shroud around the steering column, making a very irritating sound. Many owners have cured this by sticking a piece of Velcro (TM) to the shroud where the key fob hits.

Do you religiously keep sunglasses in the sunglass pocket?
Turn our for some user, including me that found out there isnt enough padding in the side sections so it rattles on the road. Next time you hear give it a tape, and there you found it. I took some loop section of velcro and put some in the side of the sunglass holder.

Yes. . . I did put some sunglass "clip-ons" in the bin above. Strangely, I've looked for them numerous times. Looked in the console, glove box, etc. having forgot that I put them up above. So . .that's an area I have to check for sure; As far as the key and fob are concerned. . . I already removed the Acura key chain . . and when I hear this annoying sound, I've held the key steady . .to no avail.

I went out this AM here in wet Los Angeles. No rattle whatsoever. Go figure that one. All I did was play with the seat belt and open the sun glass compartment. Let's see what happens. This thing comes and goes. Very very annoying sound. All else with this truck is perfect. Any other ideas are very much welcomed! Thanks. Peter
