Painted running board sides DIY. I don't have this so I'm not sure if this works (and I never seen them in real life)
I don't know what you need to remove the running boards but I assume you need a socket and a wrench (Am I right?). Now what I really know what you need are spray paint and clear coat (if you can get them from the dealer) and some old news paper.
Here's what you do
-take the boards off the car
-use duck tape to tape the parts you don't want to paint (the place where you step that is, the part where they have lines to keep traction)
-put some the news paper on the ground
-spray the sides of the boards
-when the paint dried, spray the clear coat
-when the clear coat dried, install the boards back to the car
Do you guys think this is possible? As I said before I've never seen one in real life so I'm not sure how they really look like.
WARNING: spray the paint outside. If you want to spray the paint in your garage because you think it's too sunny outside, make sure you have the garage door open to keep ventilation. |

| I thought about doing that to my side-steps. It would probabl;y chip off pretty quick but it would be pretty cool while it lasted. |

| The last 6 inches of the body have a special "extra tough" kind o primer & paint so that it doesn't all flake off. If you are serious about this, if would definatly be worth a visit to a good "automative paint supply house" to determine the CORRECT prep/primer/paint. |
