3Com to move its headquarters
Marlborough, Mass., to become home

Computer networking firm 3Com Corp., a former Silicon Valley powerhouse fallen on hard times, will move its headquarters to Massachusetts, company representatives said Monday.
Chief Executive Officer Bruce Claflin and his executive team will move to Marlborough, a city 36 miles west of Boston that already holds one of 3Com's key facilities.
The company whose name once graced San Francisco's football stadium won't abandon its Santa Clara headquarters. But by July, most of the top brass will have left. Several key executives who have chosen not to move for personal reasons will be replaced. |
