Contrary to what people think, I have had great success with ephedra. I went from 170lbs to 135 lbs within months of taking it. Thats about a loss of 16% body fat. Along with a healthy diet. lots of cardio, and a good resistance workout program I believe products with ephedra are beneficial if you are trying to lose weight.
But stemming from the incident with Steve Beckler (Baltimore Orioles pitcher who died) and countless cases of athletes every year who suffer "heat stroke from ephedra", GNC is now pulling the sale of ephedra products from their shelves. Pretty soon.....ephadra will be a banned substance on our shores.
I am sure some of you guys could care less....but to me this is ludicrous. Notch one up for the federal government:rolleyes: |

Height and weight have to be within a certain range in order to look proportionate.
At 6'2, I have to maintain 190 - 200 lbs.
If it works for you, more power to you.
BTW I wish I had 7% body fat, I enjoy too many beers.

| Nice work Jon, however, 5'8, 135 does seem a bit light... Are you incorporating any weight training in your fitness routine? |

There is nothing wrong with ephedra as long as you use it accordingly like andro.
Am a work out fanatic and I think that certain supplements are totally required if you are putting your body through such physical stress. Your body alone cannot product enough energy to support certain activities. People who use ephedra without proper wate intake and without proper doctor's recommendation will get into trouble. On EACH botther of Twinlab bottles or other famous supplement brands, it clearly states that "Consult your doctor before taking these supplements."
I have taken Twin-Labs Ripped fuel and other supplements that have ephedra in it for years and find excellent results. Cases with other athletes may be that they did not have proper water intake when they use this substance. Ephedra is a catalyst that causes your body to burn fat and turning them into fuels. As fat burns well..so does the water that your fat cells carry. Simple and logical process isnt it??? But I see so many people using this stuff and go out and do extreme excercises without proper water and food intake.
Any...my 2 cents. I think there should be a better resources for education about these supplements. |

| Geez, 5'8", 135lbs, I haven't been that since coming home from the Army. They said because I was so light they made me an RTO (Radio Telephone Operator) and strapped a PRC 77 to me to make sure I went down instead of up when my 'chute opened. :4: |

LMFAO !!!
The ephedra I was taking was Xenodrine. I took it for 4 months daily, 4 pills a day. 2 25 mg pills at 9a.m. and 2 more at around 4 p.m. Yes I lifted, but I went for the reps/proper form instead of the heavy weights. I find that for lacrosse and soccer, lifting heavy would just make me slower. I did try the whey protein though.......but it made me really constipated:mad: .LOL
As a matter of fact, I joined Gold's Gym the same day I bought the MDX. So I guess you could say, purchasing the MDX was a life chaging process for me :2: |
