| Has anyone noticed that because of the distance and location of the hood jets for the windshield washer, there is always a little path, about 8 inches long, between the jets and the top end of the hood, where the jet dribbles the flow. Presumably on shut off. It's starting to leave water marks and stains from the fluid and I have to keep polishing it out. |

| Yup - I've noticed it too. Haven't yet determined a pattern as I rarely use the washers. Would be interested in hearing from others. |

Well, it's clearly not a manufacturing defect (design defect, though--just like the easily scratchable B pillar materials). You can see from the trajectory of the water, that when the jet shuts off, that last 8 inches or so in front of the jet is simply going to be where the washer fluid falls from gravity as the stream drops off. A nice little line of dribble of chemicals. |

I have yet to use my spray nozzles on the X. However, I can certainly see what you are talking about. Our friends 99 Ody has the same setup and there is a permanent stain in the area you describe.
Not that it helps us but maybe it will be changed in 2004. My 02 TL-S had the redesigned nose/hood with the washer nozzles under the rear edge of the hood. This worked much better from several angles, not the least of which was not having to wash and wax around them. |

I use them frequently. It's easier to keep the windshield clean before bugs and road crap harden on it. |

We get enough rain to rinse the car at least once a week it seems...
Of course we have plenty of bugs, too. I take care of them at the gas station with a squeegee. |
