When the engine turns over and it idles for a second I hear a thud noise in the engine. My foot is not on the brake and I didn't put it in gear. Does anyone have this problem or could you tell me what it is?

| How big a thud? Can you feel it? Could be the A/C compressor or the engine cooling fan... |

TheWorm,
I didn't think about that. It could be because it happens after it's warmed up. Hey thanks for making me feel better. It just happend to me today twice. Once I was showing it to a friend and we were going out to lunch. I started up and I'm talking and then it made this thud noise. I was hoping that they didn't hear it because I'm telling him how cool the vehicle was and it did that. Then when I was leaving work it did it too. When I got home I parked it in the garage and started right back up to see if it would do it. It didn't. I'll keep track of it more and see what happens. If it gets worse, I'll be taking it back to Chicago in a week or so to get my rear tailgate deflector and I'll have them check it out. But thanks for the input.
