If you like heist and car chase go check out this movie, it's very well made and those MINI coopers are unbelievable.

I enjoyed this movie! I too recommend it!

Much better than Oceans 11, which was boring, boring, boring.

Interesting story, a few twists, neat gadgets, and one hot chick = a fun night at the movies!

I thought the use of the minis or whatever they're called was kinda gimicky and too much of a product placement. They could've used an X!!

Speaking of ads, I had to sit through about 17 minutes of ads and previews before the movie began. I like previews, but could do without the ads. I heard of a lawsuit over this, based on advertised starting times. Pretty interesting. My friend always covers his eyes so he won't miss something in an upcoming release.

Haven't seen the new one yet. I enjoyed the old one with Michael Caine though.

Sorry, before my time. You're telling me this is a remake?

It's a remake although before mine also. It's one of those movies I caught once or twice on the Saturday afternoon matinee as a kid. It was fun then and as a car guy remains in my memory. It had several of the orignal Mini's going through sewers and over rooftops. Literal cliffhanger ending. It actually took place in Italy, hence the name.

The original was a car cult flick, big in the UK as you can surmise. I've planning to buy an original like the one my wife had in the old country. from the miniguy.com in Ventura. He brings over classics, restores them and then sells to sentimental car buffs like me. Here's my projected target completed project:

I have seen more and more of the original Mini's lately around here. Always thought they were cool.

What's an original Mini run these days?

Anywhere from 0 to whatever you're willing to pay. Visit miniguy.com and you'll get an idea of what he charges. I would suspect you could probably get a fairly good deal on the east coast. Back in the day, people in the UK would paint their roofs different colors so they could find their mini in the parking lots at stadiums, then mini started selling them that way, hence the different colored roofs of today. Some folks even have flags painted on them. I plan on a royal blue body with a Saint Andrew's Cross flag painted on the top. Actually, instead of painting the roof, there are companies that sell flag decals for mini roofs. A fun car site to visit is http://www.miniworld..co.uk
