Hey Folks!

I want to get chrome sidesteps...probably from Tim of Hondacuraworld. Does anyone want to join me? and...Err..how do we do this. I just wanted to fire off the 1st shot...and see what happens.

The dealers want hundreds more than 487.50, TIm INCLUDES shipping, there is no Tax for those outside NY, and the installation takes maybe 30-45 minutes of simple bolt tighening...

Chrome sidesteps are/were the current (May) monthly special at Hondacuraworld.com ... see here for the item.

Normally selling for $487.50, they are/were going for $440.00.

Note that the site says "Sale price good through Thursday May 29."

:( too bad I missed the group buy for the Chrome sidestep...I just got my X 2 days ago. I hope Tim puts this item back on special again real soon.

Fellas, I got the Chrome SS in the May group buy. Let me tell ya, its worth every penny. But, I could be biased, because chrome and me are buddies:D

Are there a bunch of you that are still out there waiting to get them?

Hi Tim,

Can the running boards be added to this GG or should we have a separate GG ?

I believe there were a total of 72 bolts. That's some pretty fast work at 30-45 minutes for all. Maybe I greatly increased my install time by adding blue LOC-TITE to the threads before tightening but not by that much. Not counting the downtime due to my stupidity running over one of the brackets, I was on par for approx a 90-120 minute install.

Good points, crmsnidol. I agree, it took me about 90 minutes to install all those bolts. It wasn't hard, just took some time. Make sure the left one is mounted on the left side, and vice versa, there is a way to do it backwards! ;)

The chrome looks great on all colors, especially since the door handles are chrome, too. They look sharp!

Tim, I would be interested in the group purchase of side steps. Do you ship to Canada and if so how would I find out your prices? Thanks.

In my opinion chrome looks best with dark colors and black is better with light colors. Others will disagree though.

I went through these same gyrations a few month ago on my '03. I, too, had missed a GB and was forced to go another route. In the end, Acura did a price match and install for $653.

I know that your every day is quite a savings from "DEALERS" Suggestion to Retail Price-- but if you do a group buy it will give me the PUSH to send an order NOW..
ramesh52
Yes! I am definitely interested!
hondacuraworld
Well, if everyone's okay with it, I'll take down the cargo liner special a couple days early and list the chrome steps for a 2 day quick Group Buy (as I have a special planned already for August).

What say you all?
keremoner
Since I am relatively new here, how does the group buy work?

I haven't done this before, either, I hope it's not too complicated! :)

I just got back off vacation--too bad I missed it, but I'll wait for the next time we get the Group Buy again. Maybe it will be for a little longer next time. :(

I'm pretty sure it was $440, so that's about a 10% saving off the Regular Price.
