It's perfect! The cover of the center console compartment, when opened, is a perfect platform for my laptop to sit on, and the 12-v power supply in the compartment is only inches away. So now my kids can watch DVD movies for long trips.
The latch of the compartment cover will keep the laptop from sliding backward. So I do need to strap the laptop onto the cover to keep it from sliding foreward. If your laptop screen is more than 15", you are out of luck. I have to push the lumbard support lever all the way foreward to fit my 14" screen.
Cool! My kids will be quiet so i can enjoy my MDX!
