While driving the X the other day with my 14 year old in the front seat. The side air bag light would turn on for a period of time, then turn off. My son weighs about 115lbs, and was leaning against the door to sleep. Does this have anything to do with the warning light coming on?

| Yes, it's perfectly normal. If th eperson in the passenger seat is not seating in the proper position, the light comes on. It happens to me with my 14 year old daughter too. I believe this is also mentioned in the owners manual. |

| It's normal the air bad is designed not to go off unless the passenger is sitting straight up in the center of the seat. If the passenger leans towards the side or their weight is not distributed evenly the air bag shuts off for safety purposes. If the air bag went off with a person not in center it would injure the passenger. |
