I was in the process of changing the engine air filter today and in trying to lift the cover off the large intake "tube" pulled out of the box that holds the filter in place. I pushed it back on but I dont know how far is far enough on. There are little notches in the plastic on top of the tube opening that seem to prevent the "tube" from sliding on further..I am assuming that these are the stopping points so that you know you have it on far enough or in its proper position.
I looked at my TL and it has the same thing, but can someone confirm that I am making the correct assumption?

| Your assumption is correct, the notches ensure the tube is aligned and not twisted and it is as far as is required to get a good seal. |
