No, not since the MSRP on that vehicle is $41,000.
I just bought mine Saturday for $3500 off MSRP (dealership does not want me to post info on message boards) so there are some to be had out there. I went thru carsdirect.com to get the price. Worked great. This vehicle is known as a "188" to the dealers. |

That sounds like a decent deal. I got my 188 almost two months ago for $43400...That's $1300 below MSRP. It sounds like you're getting $1600 below MSRP... not too bad, try for $2000 below MSRP. why not.
cismo, it's hard for me to believe that you are getting your 188 X for approx. $500 above invoice, or $37500 before tax & licensing. If that's the case, good for you.:claphead: |

The exact out the door price was $37,506.50. I went out of state to buy it and the state that I purchased it in has a "waste tire and battery fee" of $6.50.
I will honor the dealer request to keep their name out of it, but can scan the sales order blocking their name as proof and post it. I also had an offer from a dealer in Texas for over $3000 off MSRP. The dealer I purchased from says they "beat all deals" and beat the one in Texas.
I told the carsdirect.com guy that I was willing to go to any dealer near any major airport that would pick me up at the airport. In my case I went about 1600 miles, but the dealer was waiting at the airport for me, had the paperwork ready, I plugged my home address in the NAV system and off we went after giving them the Cashiers Check. It cost me nothing more than one of my free flights on Southwest to get there and one night in a Super 8 on the way home and a nice trip to break in the car. The car had 12 miles on it when I took delivery and was in perfect shape as promised by the dealer. He even thru in a few extras that I didn't expect! |

| Not bad at all considering you're in the Bay Area, I got my 188 for -$1500 off MSRP about 3 weeks ago. Which dealership is this? Steven Creek? |

RE: $43000 Out the door
Thats not that bad, if it is the color and options you wanted I would go for it, otherwise you might have to wait. I would think a wait any longer than 2 months I would hold out for an '04. |
