Please do. Besides, that's the only picture of me that's been digitized, as far as I know. I'm still a film photo guy -- LOTS more pixels in 100-speed film than in the best digital camera -- yet!

Nice pick. I went scuba diving in Maui and had the chance to see giant sea turtles - they were about 6-7 feet long and were fantastic.

If I saw something 6-7 feet long swimming with me in the ocean, I think I'd drop a load in my pants.

Wife & I are the same way. We rented one of those Zodiaks boats (like the ones Greenpeace uses to chase whaling ships n such) in Maui to cruise around and snorkel. That plan was cancelled when we saw the size of some of those turtles. If they're bigger than me, I'm not goin' in! Too creepy.

That, and the fact that my wife was barfing over the side of the boat most of the morning :) That was a real test for me...I was having a blast jumping waves and she was chumming the waters. Since it was our honeymoon, I caved and we went back to shore. If it were today, tho...
ImOnlyTen
I'm to young to go Scuba diving, but I have trained.

But I have been snorkeling. In a place called Palawan in the Philippines, I have gone snorkelling with Tuna, Dolphins and reef sharks . I have only seen a sea turtle on a boat, though.

I've never scuba'd but have tried snorkeling in Hawaii. It all seems SO simple. Just put a silly plastic breathing tube in your mouth and look down.

But being totally spastic, I still kept trying to breathe through my nose underwater. I can't tell you how many times this embarrassing process repeated itself. Now imagine me 100 fathoms down trying the same thing.

From now on, if you see a 6'4" pasty white guy wearing those inflatable armbands in the shallow end of the kiddie pool, that'll be me. :)

LOL!!!! My wife had the same problem and couldnt go. It was cool but we only down about 40ft. I'll see if I can dig up a picture of a turtle and scan it in.
Blackura
Jswift2000, my "heavy breathing" incident also happened off the coast of Maui... on a catamaran ride to Lanaii.

It was a fantastic day and well worth the seemingly steep price. We saw some awesome "double breaches" of whales migrating, and then we took a dip in the ocean to look for sea turtles. Even though none of us actually saw any sea turtles that day, the whole thing left me... um... breathless, so to speak.
