I have an empty bottle that hooks up to a garden hose to mix and despense chemicals/car wash fluid/etc... with the mixture of water.
Does anyone see why I couldn't fill this bottle with Z7 to wash my car rather that use the bucket method? Any pro's or con's with not using the bucket method?
Seems to be that the less the mitt comes into contact with a bucket of water, the less chances for dirt and scratches?? |

| I would think that unless your able to control the dispense rate, you would be using a large amount of Z7. (Con) |

| If you have softened water, you could use even less than what's recommended with a bucket. |

Jay0427,
Using a garden hose to dispense water when washing a car does waste a lot of water. Unless your MDX is really dirty, a bucket of water or two works best. YMMV. Good luck.:29: |

hmm, interesting.
You need to have lots of water to carry off the dirt with the soap. Since we cant tell how much water delivery you get and how much soap you end up using - its a tough call.
I cant see a bad thing - product wise anyways - to say not to do it.
You need to be not wasting the soap though - and getting enough water. |

You need to dip the wash mitt into a bucket to rinse off dirt, chunks of bugs, etc., to reduce the chance of scratching IMO.
I use two buckets, one with water only to rinse off the mitt, another with water + Z7 get it soapy. |

I use one of those sprayers to pre-wash the car when it's really dirty. Put a bit of Z-7 and a cup of water in the bottle, rinse down the car and let it sit for a minute or two to break down the oils and then rinse it off good with a high pressure stream of water. That insures that you've removed the as much dirt as possible before you touch the car with a wash mit and risk creating swirls.
