Hi all,
I would like your opinion on whether having 1 5 channel amp is better than 4 channel plus a mono amp.
I've read that the Eclipse 5 channel amp is low profile enough to fit in the head rest storage compartment and still allow one to remove the headrests. The power is so-so in this unit. I'm not looking for super duper bass so I'm guessing this will fill my need.
Any opinions? |

I went with a single three channel amp. Actually a four channel running in three channel mode (channels one and two for left and right, channels three and four bridged for the sub).
Works great, mounted under the drivers seat. |

| If your installing it yourself. One amp is easier to install than two. One amp will look cleaner. Two looks better for show. In my other car I have three amps (front, rear, sub) With two amp install, if somthing goes bad you can replace parts individually. But I haven't had much problems with amps. I personally would go with one amp, considering all other things being equal, because I would do the install myself. |
