| i was jus flipping through my 2003 mdx manual and when i put new rims on it will throw off my vsa unless they are exactly the same as stock.....does anyone else know anything about this? |

My understanding is that anything you do which changes the parameters such as circumference or width, will affect the VSA safety features. Keep in mind that they have calibrated the systems with a given traction and cornering ability. This is especially important , in my opinion, on an SUV, because of the higher propensity for rollover if it leaves the roadway, hence, the slew of "VSA" type stuff on SUVs to head off a situation that take you of the roadway. I feel it can be dangerous to change significantly from the factory engineered tires specs to gain more traction, as the vehicle was not designed to work with higher cornering forces that might be normal on a sedan or sport coupe. |

Sounds like this could be a "your warranty won't cover your problem cuz you changed it" issue. |
