MDX overall height - Click HERE for Original Thread

According to the owner's manual, the overall height of the car is 71.3 inches, does that include the antenna? I was driving the car into an underground garage in SF last weekend, saw the sign with a HUGE thick metal bar at the entrance limiting car height to 6'6, first impression was that I was losing the roof of my car or the roof rack at the very least, so decided to back out and park on the road. I guess I should also post this in SF Bay Area forums and generate a list of MDX-unfriendly garages :)

Base or Touring? Does the manual account for the larger tires? That would be at least two inches.
6'6" is 78". Height of MDX at 71.3" leaves 6.7" by my math. Don't sweat it. Even if you have a touring tires, navi and roof rack shouldn't be a problem. If I could park a Yukon at O'Hare airport which has exactly the same height metal bar for their parking garage, the MDX will be fine. Thus my only concern will be getting my computer bag through United's "Bagisizer" (if they haven't cancelled the flight!).

With all due respect, I would like to make a small correction. There is NO difference in tire size between the Touring Package model and the Non-Touring. They are both 235/60R-17s. The only difference is TYPE of tire. The Touring model gets Michelin Cross Terrains and the other Goodyears

I'm sorry, I noted the tire size incorrectly . The correct tire size should read:

235/65R-17
There is a height difference if you include the roof rack (optional on base model).
I just went out and measured mine, mostly because I just washed it and it looks really good and I wanted an excuse to go outside and see it again. Anyway, from the ground to the tip of the antenna looks to be a bit more than 72 inches, making me think that Acura is reporting a height with the roof rack.

Also note that the antenna is doingy (you know, you touch it, and it goes 'doing'). So the main consideration is the roof rack height - Rem's right, you're in the clear, so to speak.
