| hi, i'm planning to install a security/alarm into a 2003 base MDX. i want to hook up the factory arm and disarm wires of the alarm (both negative/-). does anybody know what wire/where in the MDX i have to hook to and how i should hook it (for example, do i need a relay - if so, how). thanks. |

I had the Solaris sytem by Clifford installed in my MDX and I can arm and disarm both systems using my Clifford remote. I had to give up the Acura Remote. The stock alarm that comes with the MDX is made by Audiovox and my installer had to contact them to tie in the Clifford to the stock alarm

Also try Directed Company which took over Clifford and owns Viper also.

| Paul123... Dare I ask how much all this costs? It's very cool, whatever the price. |

I had purchased the G-4 Solaris with an added battery back-up siren and electronic motion sensor for about $600 with the auto-start of course. It's the best system ever had, never false alarms, amazing features. I've had viper and other systems prior, never compared to Clifford. There technology is amazing that's why Directed purchased the company, to use there design in there other lines of alarms.
foobar, I'm not sure of the model because audiovox makes them for Acura, there may not be a model number on them because custom made. |
