Hi,
i wonder if anyone had heard of the CDT classic CL-61 component systems...i want to replace my speakers in the door for right now and will add an amplifier in the future...the CL-61 is on sale right now for $149 at the http://www.thezeb.com/caraudio/CDT_...Components.html
supposely the paint didn't match therefore it going for that cheap, usuallyit 299...how does the CDT compare to infinity's or polk's?
and the mounting depth on the CDT is 2 7/8", will i have problems fitting these in the front doors?

I've heard they're pretty decent. Check out caraudioforum.com and do a search on them. There is some pretty favorable feedback. That is a great price! Just make sure the effeciency is what you need or you may be adding amps. You may want to do that anyway.
My Crystal comps have a depth of 2.75" and they fit fine. 2 7/8" may be pushing it but I'm not sure.

thanks for the reply, l'll check on that forums...btw, how does your crystal sound? which set do u have, sounddomain have a few set and it seem like they have the 5" or the 7"? i am looking for strong, tight midbass with a soft tweet, i dont' really like harsh tweet e.g. MB Quart...thanks |

I have the csc60s (silk tweeter). Not too bad but I think I need to add an amp to really take advantage of them. I think the speakers finally "broke in" a week or two ago and they do sound a little louder now. It is still quite a positive difference from B(l)ose speakers even without the amp.
I got mine from Sounddomain for about what you are looking at for the CDTs. Either way, I think excellent speakers for the price no matter which you choose. |
