| Just got my mdx a week ago after about 4 month wait and I LOVE it! It is everything wonderful I read about. I used to own a Nissan Pathfinder se and thought it was the best Suv. It was then but not anymore. I guese I am more mature now and enjoy the more refine character of the mdx. I have test drove the Mercedes M-class and had enjoyed it then, but that was a year ago before Mdx came along. I am so glad that I had held off buying the M-class. I really enjoyed driving the mdx. It is so responsive. And it is so easy to park and back up. |

Allow me to be the first "oldster" to congratulate you! I'm sure the other's will be along shortly when they wake up from their naps!! What color, etc.?
Welcome to the neighborhood!! :D

| I still am enjoying the second-take looks from the people I drive by. I've even had people stop and ask me about it while it was cleaning it this weekend in the driveway. I keep finding new cool things out, like the thread on the wipers. Now I just have to figure out what to get on my new plates. |

| Thank you Dmor and Mdxtra and the rest of the mdx family for the welcome. It sure is nice to be in this awesome club.(my first!) My mdx is silver and comes in the touring package but without the navigaiton system as I am in Canada. Personally, I prefer the mdx without trim in a clean cut look. I am not too impress with the 'rear spoiler' and is hoping to get a better looking one in the near future. Some of you might be able to help me out here I hope. I had the full protection(Paints, undercoat, rust, interior uphostry-leather) done and costed me $800.00 more. It is a lifetime warranty and to be inspected every 2 years. My brother and I ordered the same coloured mdx about 4 months ago. I have mine for a week now and he is hoping to get his next week. He is so anxious to get his and has warned the dealer not to screw around with his order(he thinks that they might sell his order to some people who might be willing to pay a couple of thousand more for one right away). I told him that the Accura dealership here will never jeopardize their reputation by doing this. Do you think so? |

| Just woke up from my nap with this month's copy of Modern Maturity that DMor sent me in my lap when I noticed the post announcing your blessed event. A Canadian to boot, which is also great because we haven't heard from many of your folks in this forum even though all MDXs are made in your backyard. Congrats on your fine decision :D and remember - not one disparaging word about wind noise, the Bose stereo system or gas mileage. |

Doc,
I'm still waiting for my Nighthawk Pearl ordered on Jan. 31. How long did it take you to get yours? Which province are you in (I'm in Alberta)?
Sure wish we could get the nav. How 'bout getting together with all the other Canucks and petitioning Acura Canada to get their ass in gear on it? I'd be willing to author something. Let me know.

Pierre, I am in Edmontont, Alberta. I ordered my mdx sometime in the middle or third quater of December. I took delivery of it last week Thursday(March 29th?)My brother who ordered the same time is hoping to get his next week(we ordered the same colour). Your should be getting yours pretty soon and get ready to experience lots of fun!
As for Drakkar, I am sorry to disappoint you. I find that the navigation system in the west is pretty redundant. Our cities here are just not big or complicated enough to warrant a navigation system. It might be nice if we have to drive down to visit our cousins to the south. I just do not see any monetary justification for it right now. I might change my mind later though. |

Finally got my mdx this past Saturday. Ordered mine back on 10/21 and waited (hope this make you guys still waiting for yours feel better) 5 months and 10 days! I must say the encouragement I got from reading all your posts helped me quite a lot during the seemingly endless wait, even though I was given an expected delivery time frame around February or March which fits my family's plan. Still the helpless waiting was soooooooo frustrating.
I ordered SS base model and paid MSRP. Dealership called me last Friday and said they just got my mdx. What about the call 7 - 10 days before the delivery date as they originally told me? They said something about the paperwork messup by Acura shipping. Back in February they gave the build date around 3/20 to 3/25 so I was waiting for the call from mid-March. Looked like they were right on the mark.
Overall the dealership guys were very professional and courteous. No pressure on adding accessories and things like that. Also I got the finance guy to match the best car loan rate I found on the internet. And today we received a box of cookies from them. Makes me wonder are there more gifts on the way? A SS scale model perhaps?
There was 13 miles on the odometer when I took delivery and it is about 100 now. My driving was city/highway mixed and I got 17 mpg so far. There is no thud from the front left strut area, no clicking noise from the glove box, but the streaking driver side mirror--it's sure there! The ride is very quiet overall and highway wind noise is quite low compared to some other cars I have driven. The mdx feels absolutely solid and this I think is due to its excellent build quality which by now we have read so much about. It feels heavier on the road compared to our CR-V (actually 1,200 pounds heavier) but the VTEC V6 pushes the 4,400-pound truck with enough punch and acceleration it feels like it's carrying the two-ton machine with such ease and even extra power to spare. So sweet.
I called Tim and ordered splash guard, all season floor mats, cargo tray and cargo net. I'll see what else I want to add. I totally agree with you guys that Tim is THE BEST. Thanks again Tim, keep up the good work!
Sorry for the long post. |

No apology necessary in fact you should have started it Four score and seven years ago with your wait. Compare notes with DMor who should have finally picked hers last night and duke it out for whining rights. Welcome to the joy of MDX driving!! |

MDX2theMax,
Well, I thought I had the longest wait but I think you may have bested me slightly. I ordered mine 10/31/00 and am supposed to pick it up tomorrow 4/6/01. |

I believe you're the big winner in the "longest wait" category. My order date was Nov 17. However, I turned down a MB last month, while holding out for the Mahogany. Meanwhile, another MB came in and I picked it up last night. I just hold the record for the "loudest" fingertips with all these posts...but who knew?!! :) |

Just curious as to what you all mean by "order date." I just put a deposit on mine on 4/2. Is this what you mean by order date? I've been told by the salesperson that it should be built in June. I guess this is my "order date"- 4/2 that is.
