| Since admin deleted many posts from us (DaleB 5000< to 5000>, mdxxxx 5000< to 4050>, hammermdx 1600< to 1200>) I think this will be a very interesting topic to disgust. How many posts did you lose after admin deleted some of our threads? I lost about 220. How about yours? |

| So thats what happened? I thought it was just my memory playing tricks on me since I had a keen recolection of breaking 500 then seeing my count at 490. I don't care much for the count, there are members on the CL forum with 35,000 posts. The CL members call someone who posts constanly just for the count "post whores." I do care for ebay feedback though since you have to earn it. |

___I did not remember my total before the culling but I thought I remembered my posts per day being ~ 4.39. With that being said, I see it is still ~ the same.
___Now a question. Approximately how many posts did you have in the Word Association thread? I remember someone (Rjmitche possibly?) posting a screenshot of who had the most posts in that thread maybe a month or so ago. Mdxxxx had well over 1000 + in that thread alone so I can understand where most of his went. A search should pick it up … I didn’t have a single post in the Word Association thread nor do I remember replying to any of Acura Racer’s posts so I don’t think I was touched?

When I was in the service I remember this lady who would hang around the gate on Friday and Saturday nights, we called her a post
.....wait a minute!! I just called myself that on the other topic!!!!!!!!!
I could delete it and lower my count.....!!! |

Me too. I never reply to the Word Association thread too. But what happen to mine? Before the delete I have 4.52 postes per day and now, less than 4.00 :mad: |

___The screenshot below came from Rjmitche in the thread entitled “Most "posts per day" near the beginning of June. Did you have more than a few posts in any of the Acuraracer created threads possibly? I highly doubt the Admin had anything to do with those deletions given Acuraracer’s verbal jabs later on in his threads … and his own subsequent thread deletions earlier in the week?

I was NOT admin that deleted the posts - it was a pissed off member(s). After the initial loss of posts TheWorm was able to restore the post count to what you see now. See the following threads for some of the discussion:

I've been called many things over the years, now I guess I can add "post whore" :eek:
I lost 500 on the count, but you know, its not about the number of posts for me, its about participating on this fine forum with good people I've never met. I've always avoided internet group settings as I had always heard bad things about them, but I can say I really I am enjoying this board. Its good to know that there are still good folks out there. |

I've modified the permissions so that you can't delete an entire thread by deleting your own message (which appears to be the first one in the thread).
I'm still not 100% sure what happened, but the only possible explanation so far is that someone deleted entire threads by deleting their messages. The database cannot shrink on its own, especially in such an organized fashion that the only thing changed are the posts.

Not sure why DavidM deleted the original Word Association Thread (I even questioned if he and ACURACER were one and the same):confused:
However it appears that ACURACER got pissed off and left the the .org forums completely and took his threads/posts with him. Apparently his issues had NOTHING to do with post counts and the games we play with them:rolleyes: |

I'm not sure but think I lost about 120 posts. I arrived at this total using the posts per day just prior to the missing post problem and just after the problem occurred. Post per day went from 3.75 to 3.47.
I only had 2 posts on the word association thread.
Still no concrete information on what happened?
I still find this highly suspucious that it happened shortly after mdxxxx became the top poster. Looks like someone was trying to do a not so funny joke......

___The more I think about it, the more I think I may have lost posts also? I thought I was slightly ahead of you before all of the deleted posts and lowered counts? I also thought I was at 4.39 posts per day which is where I am at currently? Maybe it was 4.79 PPD? The same PPD count wouldn’t make sense if I had post deletions? Weird. It’s now a horse race to get back into the top 10 tonight? I just don’t feel right about posting into the new “Word Association” thread is all :(

___You are as always, right on the money. It is just tough to see good work disappear. I can understand the Word Association but it appears as if DaleB, MDXxxx, HammerMDX, and a few others lost quite a bit more than what they had accumulated in just that thread. If so, we have all lost posts of future interest that are now unfortunately gone forever :(
___In my own case, I have all of my posts in a single Word document so when someone asks about something I have replied about in the past, it’s a quick search of the document and a simple cut and paste afterwards. I can only hope MDXxxx, DaleB, HammerMDX, and the rest have done similar.
